How It All Happened
I really wanted my proposal to be special and unique. I began to brainstorm ideas in early November and I finally came across the idea of going through 21 of my favorite memories of us together. I picked 21 for a few reasons: 1) she was going to turn 21 the next day 2) it will make her think its for her birthday 3) it’s an awesome number! The hard part was going through all of our memories we have had the past four years and only pick 21!
Tim Bond, my great friend, helped me shoot the video in Oak Glen, Ca. While I was shooting, Jordan was texting me and I had her fooled that I was just having a lazy day at CBU. Little did she know that I was shooting a proposal video!
The next weekend (December 9th), Jordan came down to CA and I told her we should have a photo shoot. I took her to Oak Glen and to the bench where I made her video (that she still had no idea about). I even had her hold up my green screen and I told her I would do something creative with it. (She was clueless).
The Day It Went Down
For lunch, we went out to Oregano’s (where we had our first official date) and we had a great time. She was still clueless. I convinced her that we should go to South Mountain and watch the sun go down. She was definitely down and I knew it was going to be great. When we got there, I already had my friend Tim set up to shoot some video of the proposal. I set up my own camera and told her that I wanted to see her reaction when I gave her the birthday present I bought her. The rest can be seen in the video below. I hope you enjoy!
